Meta’s instant messaging application, WhatsApp, has just introduced a new feature in their application. These features are Events and Replies which are available specifically for WhatsApp Communities. The presence of these two features was announced through an announcement on Meta’s official page.

Event and Replies Features in WhatsApp Communities
The Event feature allows WhatsApp Communities members to create events such as meetings, parties, celebrations, etc. directly in the WhatsApp application. Later, community members can respond to whether or not they will attend the event by pressing the “Respond” button. This will certainly be very helpful, because so far most people respond to the list of attendance at an event on WhatsApp by making a list of names one by one.
Meanwhile, the Replies feature allows members to reply to announcements in WhatsApp Communities. This way, the community admin can see members’ responses to the announcements made. Later these replies can be seen in a separate column, like comments on Instagram.
The Event and Replies features for WhatsApp Communities have started to be rolled out to several selected users and will spread to all WhatsApp users in the future. WhatsApp also said that in the next few months they will present various other new features for communities and groups. We look forward to seeing what other innovations they will bring!
