
Since the first launch of its first electric car, the SU 7, Xiaomi seems to have high ambitions to be able to compete in this industry by expressing its desire to present a rival to the Tesla Model Y in 2025.
This news comes from within the company that Xiaomi is diligently comparing various types of popular electric cars from Tesla with Xiaomi’s SUV car designs. This SUV itself has been developed by the company since 2021.

The Xiaomi SU7 production plan itself is targeted to reach 100,000 units in 2024, after which Xiaomi will focus more on the development and launch of its SUV at the end of 2025 or early 2026. This schedule will align over time with the construction stages of Xiaomi’s newest car assembly plant in Beijing.

Details about this SUV itself are still not clear, but internal officials in the automotive industry say that this vehicle is designed to capture the mainstream market by using Xiaomi’s first EV model while also fixing various problems.
