AMD is rumored to be copying Intel’s naming system for its next generation Strix Point APUs. They will use a three-digit number code like Intel Core Ultra and have new branding, namely “Ryzen AI”. However, instead of starting with the number 100, Ryzen AI will start with the number 300.
As revealed by the well-known and quite accurate leaker, Golden Pig, AMD Strix Point’s new naming scheme will later become “Ryzen AI 9 HX 370” for the HX-Series SKU. Meanwhile, the standard SKU will be called “Ryzen AI 9 365”. However, the tier order still exists with Ryzen AI 5, 7, and 9.

AMD’s move to jump directly to the 300-Series is allegedly because they want Ryzen AI to look superior to Intel, which is known to be releasing the Core Ultra 200-Series in the near future. This also marks the third iteration of AMD’s XDNA NPU which made its debut in the Ryzen 7000 Series APUs.
AMD Strix Point itself is expected to use the Zen5 CPU architecture, with RDNA 3.5 graphics, with an XDNA2 NPU that gets AI enhancements of up to 45 TOPS. It is reported that AMD will announce more details about Strix Point at the Computex event which will take place on 4 – 7 June 2024.
